In celebration of International Women’s Day, we introduce Sabrina Mohamed, our Key Account Director
What does your role entail?
I work in a client facing role predominantly within Soben’s Staff Secondment Division. My role requires a lot of business development and relationship management. I have to understand our client’s expectations and ensure that they are met to the highest standards.
What is it like working for Soben?
No two days are the same for me at Soben. It is wonderful to work for such a fast growing and ambitious company and be a part of the journey. The importance that is placed on integrity and customer service at Soben is phenomenal and I enjoy working with individuals who are so dedicated to running a successful business that delivers on commitments and promises made.
What is it like being a woman working in the construction sector?
I think that more employers are realising the benefits of having diversity within their workforce which is great as it has led to initiatives to attract more women to the industry. It is important to work for an employer who values your input and encourages your development. Everyone deserves to be judged by their contribution and rewarded for their performance regardless of their gender and that is something that is very possible to achieve.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
As Soben continues to grow, I would like to really expand on our Staff Secondment offering. I come from a sales and recruitment background so I feel that this is an area where I can really add value to the business. I’d like to think that in five years we will have increased the number of Quantity Surveyors that we have seconded onto client sites, particularly within our businesses in Australia and the USA.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I have two young kids, so a lot of my time is spent running around after them! When I am not doing that, I am reading a new crime thriller novel or catching up on my favourite Netflix TV series.
