Soben is celebrating its appointment to work with Octopus Energy Generation as their new PMO partner.

 

Soben has announced their appointment by Octopus Energy Generation to support their in-house project management team in delivering their asset maintenance and new build programme across their growing UK portfolio. Octopus is one of the largest investors in renewable energy in Europe, managing over 240 large-scale green energy projects, spanning 10 countries and 8 technologies. Their combined portfolio generates 3GW of green energy, equivalent to 1.9 million tonnes of CO2 avoided annually.

 

Responsible for the reliable supply of green energy to 2 million homes every year, Octopus need to ensure best practice asset management and maintenance across their complex portfolio. Soben has been appointed to provide cost, contract and project management services to strengthen Octopus’s in house team. Soben will assist in the delivery of Octopus’s Major Project Portfolio and Asset Maintenance Programme by bringing their specialist knowledge of regulated industries, proven project management and commercial expertise.

 

Octopus Energy Generation is focused on driving positive change and making a meaningful impact – managing projects that help tackle climate change by speeding up the switch to green energy. Octopus’s vision aligns perfectly with Soben’s commitment to shaping the future with integrity. In November 2022, Soben launched a new Sustainability and Carbon Cost Management service designed to support organisations on their journey to net zero.
