Building Magazine’s Top 150 Consultants results for 2022 have been published, and Soben is proud to announce that we have been included in the Top 150 Consultants league table for the first time.
Launched in 2011, Soben offers something different. A combination of the best consultancy practices, with real-life hands-on commercial experience in successfully delivering major construction projects.
Over the past decade, Soben has grown from a one-man operation to a global organisation employing over 200 people worldwide. Our dynamic, agile, and no-nonsense approach has helped us become a leading player in sectors including data centres and mission critical, renewable energy, and transport and infrastructure.
International Expansion
We have enjoyed a hugely successful year, bringing our fresh approach to clients, including Vantage Data Centers. In response to increasing demand from clients in several sectors, we have expanded our teams in the UK and internationally.
Key strategic hires include Derek McFarlane, who was appointed at the beginning of the year to lead Soben’s UK consultancy business and more recently, global supply chain expert, Pieter Schaap who is based in the Netherlands. Our ambition and growth show no sign of slowing, with significant expansion planned for 2023 and beyond to support the growing demand from clients for existing services, and new offerings.

Almost 300 firms were contacted for this year’s Building Top 150 consultants survey. The tables are based on several factors, including the number of chartered and non-chartered staff, staff recruitment, wage patterns, margins, areas of work, and work expectations.
