My position as a Quantity Surveyor is mainly focused on the take-off and preparation of the bills of quantities for the different projects we are working on.
What does a typical working day look like for you?
Usually, I plan my work and prioritise the tasks within the available time. As a Quantity Surveyor who usually manages large packages, my days are very busy and occupied with project work that is allocated to me. I always try to do my best to complete tasks assigned within the given time so that I feel I have achieved my daily goals.
What do you enjoy most about being part of the Soben family?
The best thing I enjoy is working with my team. I admire our leadership team and we have great people in the office. Those are the best things I enjoy being in the Soben family. I believe working effectively as a team and receiving guidance from management to resolve the day-to-day issues makes my role more manageable.
What are your career goals over the next 12-18 months?
I plan to enrol in the program to obtain RICS chartered membership in the next few months to develop my career further.
How do you unwind after a busy week at work?
It would mostly be spending time with my family, and I also find time to go out and meet up with my friends, who help me to relax and enjoy the weekend.
How would your colleagues describe you?
I believe I am a good team player and supporter of my colleagues. Specifically, if anyone needs help to complete their tasks, I am sure my colleagues will refer to me as a supportive person to have in the office.
