Next month will see Soben roll out its successful New Rules of Measurement (NRM) CPD session to RICS Matrics members in Edinburgh.
The event, which takes place on Tuesday 10th September, will be hosted by some of Soben’s senior management team, who will share their knowledge and insight into why NRM was introduced, as well as giving an overview of the NRM suite as a whole.
The session will also look at NRM 2 in detail, looking at the key changes and commercial considerations between it and SMM7.
The Soben team will also take a look at industry feedback to date on NRM2, before opening up the session for comments and discussion.
RICS Matrics is for students, trainees and those with less than 10 years post qualification experience. It supports new Chartered Surveyors entering the profession and works with the RICS to help shape the future of surveying.
Recent reports from RICS suggest that the number of 18-30 year olds qualifying as surveyors is on the increase, which reflects the good work being done by the RICS Matrics network across the country.
Soben’s Managing Director, Scott Smyth, commented: “We are committed to supporting the development of young people entering our industry, and this event presents the ideal opportunity for us to do so.”
