The first of its kind in the UK, the Accelerated House Block Programme was delivered as a collaborative approach, with four of the UK’s largest contractors working in partnership.Soben delivered detailed bills of quantities during the Pre-Construction Services Agreements (PCSAs) period. Soben carried out a forensic review of the design, identified gaps and highlighted discrepancies in the design which resulted in an overall cost reduction on the project.
This complex programme was part of the Ministry of Justice’s (MOJ) programme to expand the capacity of the prison estate. The project involved expanding existing prison sites to assist in meeting government targets.
