HS2 is a new high speed rail line being built from London to the North of England. The HS2 trains will link the biggest cities in Scotland with Manchester, Birmingham and London. Soben is preparing detailed bills of quantities extracted from BIM models for all aspects of the scheme across multiple design phases.
The most complex infrastructure scheme currently underway in the UK, the project involves 90km of new railway, 51 viaducts and boxes, 7.5km of twin tunnel, 35 cuttings reaching over 30km, 76 culverts and other underbridges, 66 embankments, 4 motorway crossings, and 6 interfaces with existing rail requiring both dive-under and overbridge structures.
