Sustainable shift

With Oxford’s innovation ecosystem growing at a fast rate, Soben played a key role in supporting the delivery of what will be a large Life Science Business Park, covering 88 acres, hosting 35 science companies and with more than 35,000 members on campus. Considered the “gateway” to the Business Park, this project is in prime location.

Soben were appointed by this well-known family-run company to provide whole-life and upfront embodied carbon assessments for the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Stage 3 development, based on the current quantified materials information set out within the project’s Bill of Quantities.

When the site was purchased in 2021, the plan included a generational investment in the development, with a vision to create a sustainable, 21st Century, Science and Innovation community.
