Unitywater provides water supply and sewerage services to approximately 17% of Queensland’s population – made up of over 320,000 residential properties and 18,000 commercial and industrial enterprises. The Australian utility serves businesses and residential customers in the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Noosa regions of Queensland – one of the fastest growing regions in Australia.
Soben were appointed to complete a systematic review of Unitywater’s processes. The team produced a practical framework and governance model for estimating, forecasting, budgetary control, and benchmarking. Following a series of discovery workshops, Soben implemented a new costing system, linked to Unitywater’s estimating software – for increased accuracy in estimating and forecasting.
